Representative Engagements

  1. Established warehouse and distribution facilities for client in several foreign countries.
  2. Worked closely with the founders of community de novo institutions in their initial charters and regulatory applications. She has assisted minority owned institutions and their affiliates with community development projects, real estate transactions, commercial loan transactions, regulatory matters and business transactions, including outsourcing contracts and bank policies.
  3. Represented client in connection with condominium conversions, title issues, all real estate closings and construction matters.
  4. Represented a client who acquired ownership of real estate using a tenancy-in-common ("TICs") interest, including an appropriate tenancy-in-common agreement, to facilitate Section 1031 deferred exchanges.
  5. Prosecuted claims on behalf of a major national landlord against an anchor commercial tenant in a marquee Chicago building in a high-profile, landlord-tenant dispute resulting in a favorable resolution for the client.
  6. Represented client control network of gas stations, convenience store, lessors and lessees and petroleum product wholesalers in a variety of commercial and real estate transactions, government compliance issues and litigation.
  7. Developed a creative opportunity for a real estate acquisition client to acquire property it had sought for which it had initially been outbid by a developer, by focusing on the parties respective interests and developing and formulating a resolution through which their respective interests were fully satisfied.
  8. Represented a client in a significant refinance of its real estate holdings requiring defeasance of existing loan through purchase and execution of securities to effectuate the closing.
  9. Represented a general contractor in the formation and subsequent growth of business through the formation of limited liability companies, contractor and subcontractor agreements and business advice.
